Yoga and Dharma: Calming Anxiety Through the Wisdom of the Body

In our current global situation and personal life challenges, anxiety is a natural reaction. However, our bodies are not designed for chronic stress, and it can derail our well-being and disconnect us from our hearts.

Our daylong will weave Dharma wisdom and meditation with mindful movement and gentle breathing techniques. The embodied practices will release chronic tension, regulate our nervous systems, and calm reactivity. This process of resourcing will reconnect us with the wisdom of the body and restore trust in our body’s ability to self-regulate. Our meditations will center heart practices, or Brahma Viharas, to cultivate a kinder, more spacious relationship with ourselves. We may come to know anxiety as a teacher—one that deepens mindful awareness and a tender connection to our inner states.

All abilities and levels of experience are welcome.
